Caring for Smiles for People Experiencing Homelessness is NHS Scotland’s oral health improvement programme for people experiencing any degree of homelessness. Resources to support the delivery of the programme include a co-designed evidence-informed oral health promotion training guide; designed to enable health professionals, third sector staff and social care staff to meet the specific oral health needs of this group.
The Programme is led by Niall McGoldrick from Dental Public Health at the School of Dentistry, University of Dundee. Further information related to the development and history of the programme are available from Scottish Oral Health Improvement Homelessness Programme (Smile4life) | University of Dundee, UK.
