Caring for Smiles
Caring for Smiles, Scotland’s national oral health programme for dependent older adults, has supported care homes, care at home and other services throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Although in-person training was suspended, teams have supported care homes in many different ways and Open Badges, for care home and care at home services, provided online training during this time. As the programme remobilises, a wider range of training may become available over the coming months.
Prior to the pandemic, the Caring for Smiles Guide for Care Homes was also updated. The latest PDF version has been uploaded to ScottishDental.org.
