NHS Education for Scotland (NES) provide education and training support for trainee dental nurses
towards gaining registration with the General Dental Council.
Dental Nurse Induction
Access to a free online learning programme is available to complement a trainee dental nurse’s
workplace induction: Dental Nurse Induction | Turas | Learn (nhs.scot)
Pre-Registration Dental Nurse Training: Modern Apprenticeship in Dental Nursing
NES provide an annual blended learning programme in Inverness, Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, and
Glasgow.
Applications for the 2025-2026 programme commencing in September 2025 will be open from Monday 2nd June at 09:00 and close on Monday 9th June at 09:00.
